Samsung sold the most microwave ovens of any brand in Europe last year, according to new analysis from Euromonitor. This made 2023 the ninth year in a row that the tech giant has held the top spot in the sector.

Here's What We Know

Samsung had a 15.3 per cent market share in microwave sales across 19 European countries. This earned the company the title of "No. 1 in microwave sales in Europe in 2023" from the research firm, which the company can now use to promote its products.

Last month, Samsung launched its global range of Bespoke microwave ovens, including freestanding and overhead appliances. These are smart microwave ovens that can be controlled using the Samsung SmartThings app or voice commands via Samsung Bixby, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. They also have some interesting AI features such as Sensor Cook, which can automatically adjust cooking times.
