Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino to lead PlayStation after Jim Ryan leaves the company in March 2024

Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino will replace Jim as CEOs of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Hulst is the CEO of the newly created Studio Business Group, which includes all third-party PlayStation teams, as well as the unit responsible for development on PlayStation franchises in other areas such as film and television. Previously, Hulst was the head of PlayStation Studios and co-founded Guerrilla Games, which created Horizon and Killzone.
Hideaki Nishino will lead the Platform Business Group, which includes console hardware, technology, accessories, the PlayStation Network, and third-party relationships (publishers and indie studios). Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Platform Experiences. He has been part of the Sony business since 2006, holding numerous positions at Sony Network Entertainment, Sony Corporation and SIE.
Both executives report to Hiroki Totoki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sony Interactive Entertainment, who is currently acting as the division's CEO. The latest changes will take effect from 1 June.
