Before we see the sequel to Batman with Robert Pattinson, we will see the Penguin series, which is a spin-off of Batman (2022). And one famous actor has joined the film's team.

Here's What We Know

Mark Strong, who is known for the films Kingsman, Cruella, Green Lantern, has joined the cast of the Penguin series.

Mark's trainer posted a photo of the actor training on his Instagram, and when asked by a fan, he replied that he was training Strong for the Penguin series.

However, it is not known who exactly Mark is playing. That's why fans are starting to build their theories: Mario Falcone, Hugo Strange or Victor Zsasz? We will find out later.

When We Can Expect It

The series is scheduled to be released on the Max streaming service in autumn 2024.

Flashback

The filming of the series began in March 2023, but the process was stopped in June during the strike of writers and actors in Hollywood.

The series will pick up immediately after Batman and will show how Oswald Cobblepot expands his influence in Gotham and becomes an even greater criminal mastermind. The Penguin is played by the brilliant Colin Farrell. The actor has already played the villain in Batman (2022).

Penguin will have 8 episodes. The scriptwriter and showrunner is Lauren LeFranc. Batman director Matt Reeves is the executive producer.
