Ubisoft has accidentally greenlit the release date for Assassin's Creed Shadows
Yesterday, 13 May, Ubisoft confirmed the official title for Assassin's Creed Codename Red, now known as Assassin's Creed Shadows, and announced that a cinematic trailer would debut on 15 May. However, it looks like the release date has leaked as well.
Here's What We Know
Ubisoft's official tweet announcing the upcoming reveal trailer only mentions the trailer's premiere time. There is no mention of the game's release date. However, there was speculation that the date might be announced during the trailer. It looks like Ubisoft accidentally revealed the launch date on YouTube.
The release date is listed on Ubisoft's official YouTube channel in Italy under the Assassin's Creed Shadows premiere video on the publisher's homepage tab. It is this video that seems to have inadvertently revealed the details. User X under the nickname @Andreaalex2001 spotted the date and quickly took a screenshot. However, the information cannot be seen on the US site.
Ubisoft likely wanted to keep it a secret, perhaps until the trailer was revealed on 15 May, but now, thanks to a leak from @Andreaalex2001 it has been revealed that the game will be released on 15 November this year. Although it's possible that Ubisoft could still change the release date.
The game will reportedly be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, as well as on Ubisoft+.
