Spiders Studios is preparing "something special": IGN has shared details of the RPG GreedFall II: The Dying World and showed gameplay footage of it
In the summer of 2024, developers from the French studio Spiders plan to release in early access the RPG GreedFall II: The Dying World - a prequel to the not bad, but extremely niche RPG of 2019.
Virtually no details are known about the project yet, but thanks to a video by IGN portal, some nuances of The Dying World have been revealed.
Here's What We Know
IGN journalists believe that Spiders Studios is trying to repeat the success of Larian Studios with its Baldur's Gate III and wants not just to release a new part of GreedFall, but to significantly improve all its elements, offering gamers "something special".
Game designers have made many changes to the mechanics of the first part of GreedFall and added new features, and the most notable change IGN editors consider the new combat system. Instead of straightforward hand-to-hand battles in GreedFall II, the developers will offer complex and sophisticated battles with real-time strategy elements - now the fights will be reminiscent of Dragon Age: Origins. As in BioWare's game, GreedFall II: The Dying World will have the possibility, and even the necessity, to use a tactical pause to intelligently think over further actions.
However, IGN noted that in GreedFall II there are a lot of standard problems of alpha versions, but what they are expressed in the journalists did not specify. Probably, most of the bugs will be fixed before the game is released in Early Access.
In addition to information about GreedFall II: The Dying World, IGN video material allows you to get acquainted with new gameplay footage of the game.
