The Galaxy S21 series has received a security update

Samsung has begun rolling out security updates for its Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra phones in Europe from May 2024. The changes became available to users after the release of One UI 6.1 at the beginning of the month.

The May 2024 security update can be identified by the build number GXDH.

How To Switch It On

Owners can download it through the Settings menu, Software Update, or using Samsung's firmware tool for Windows PCs.

The new software only focuses on security improvements and vulnerability fixes. It does not address battery life issues that may occur after installing One UI 6.1.

For users outside of Europe, the security update should be available in the next few days.
