In the summer of 2023, it became known that the popular Dead Cells metroidvania, created by the French studio Motion Twin, would expand its universe with an animated series. Then we learned that the animated series was called Dead Cells: Immortalis. And finally, we can watch its trailer.

Here's What We Know

The trailer introduced the main character Chosen, who is a one-eyed slug that can take control of corpses, and his red-haired girlfriend, who go to the island to defeat the king. However, before that, they will have to defeat his 5 strongest warriors and other lesser soldiers. And it would also be nice to get support from the inhabitants of the region, which is what the heroes will do. The trailer suggests that there will be plenty of humour.

The project is being created by the French studio Bobbypills in collaboration with the French anime service Animation Digital Network (ADN).

When We Can Expect It

The first episodes will appear on 19 June 2024. In total, there will be 10 episodes of approximately seven minutes each, which will be exclusively shown in France first and then become available worldwide by the end of 2024.
