Ghost of Tsushima has become Sony's most successful single-player game on Steam, surpassing even God of War (2018)
A few days ago, the release of the samurai action game Ghost of Tsushima, which has been a PlayStation exclusive since 2020, took place on PC.
Shortly before the release it became known that the game will not be sold in 180 countries and some regions where the PlayStation Network service is unavailable, but this did not prevent the project of Sucker Punch studio to attract a lot of attention from gamers.
Here's What We Know
We can already state that Ghost of Tsushima has become the most successful single-player Sony game on PC, second only to the ultra-popular co-operative shooter Helldivers 2.
According to SteamDB, here's a look at Sony's top ten most requested PC games in terms of peak online play:
- Helldivers 2 - 459,000 people
- Ghost of Tsushima - 77,000 people
- God of War - 73,500 people.
- Marvel's Spider-Man - 66,000 people.
- Horizon Zero Dawn - 56,500 people.
- Horizon Forbidden West - 40,000 people.
- The Last of Us - 36,500 people.
- Days Gone - 27,500 people.
- Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales - 13,500 people.
- Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves - 11,000 people.
Thanks to its excellent technical execution and initial top quality, Ghost of Tsushima has 88% positive feedback on Steam.
Negative reviews are related to the game's unavailability in some countries (but this is Sony's fault, not Ghost of Tsushima's shortcoming) and some problems caused by the PlayStation's new overlay. That said, gamers are advised to remove the overlay folder from the Ghost of Tsushima directory, which solves most of the problems.
Note: all content in the single-player game is available without PSN. An account will only be required in two cases: when launching Legends multiplayer mode or to use the PlayStation overlay.
