Shift Up Studios has confirmed the development of a PC version and sequel to Stellar Blade and revealed its future plans
The action game Stellar Blade has definitely become one of the biggest hits of the spring, and maybe even the whole of 2024.
Little-known Korean studio Shift Up made a loud statement by releasing a highly regarded PlayStation exclusive that made a lot of noise even before its release.
The success of Stellar Blade has allowed the developers to start actively developing and producing new games, and Shift Up Studios has announced their plans to their investors.
Here's What We Know
The main talking points from Shift Up's announcement:
- Stellar Blade sales have exceeded the developers' expectations;
- the studio plans to release the PC version of Stellar Blade, as well as add-ons, crossovers and a sequel;
- the developers will continue to work on big-budget multiplatform games;
- It is planned that new Shift Up games will be released every 2-3 years, and their production will take from 4 to 5 years. Each project will be handled by 100-150 people.
It is known that Korean game designers are working on a big-budget role-playing game in the setting of a large city and with a large number of various monsters. And the document indicates that in development is Project Witches with a similar description, probably we are talking about the same game.
