Microsoft will implement Copilot in games for PC and Xbox: AI-assistant capabilities demonstrated on Minecraft example
Neural networks and artificial intelligence (AI) are increasingly penetrating all aspects of human life. They already help with writing texts, creating videos and illustrations, suggesting recipes, controlling home appliances and other tasks.
Soon, AI will also help you play games.
Here's What We Know
Microsoft Surface conference took place on 20 May, where the American corporation not only revealed its upcoming novelties, but also announced interesting news for gamers.
Soon the AI-assistant Copilot will be introduced into the gaming space, where it will be able to give hints, support dialogue and help to perform tasks in games for PC and Xbox.
The possibilities of Microsoft Copilot were shown on the example of Minecraft. So, the player will be able to ask the AI, for example, "how to create a sword" and thanks to the language models ChatGPT and Dalle-3 get a detailed answer.
The developers emphasise that no additional software will be required to use Copilot in games. And besides, the AI will understand the user's requests in any wording and will be able to adjust to the chosen style of communication.
For gamers it will be a great companion, but how such an innovation will be met by the owners of websites and publishers, where instructions and tips for passing the game are posted - the answer is obvious.
