YouTube is testing a new feature for Dream Track for Shorts that allows users to create 30-second instrumental tracks.

Here's What We Know

This option accepts only text prompts in English and allows you to choose a music genre such as pop, hip-hop, country, etc. Dream Track is part of the platform's experimental AI programme. Users only need to enter text prompts in English and choose a music genre, after which the AI will generate a song.

Dream Track was first introduced by YouTube in November 2023 as part of a series of experiments with artificial intelligence. Users can create soundtracks for short videos using the voices of famous artists such as Demi Levato, Papoose, T-Pain, and John Legend. The Dream Track update now also allows you to create loop-free instrumentals.

This isn't the only new AI tool on YouTube this month.

The platform recently introduced Jump Ahead for YouTube Premium subscribers, which allows them to quickly jump to the most interesting moments of a video using personalised recommendations and artificial intelligence.
