The head of Arrowhead Game Studios has left his post to focus on developing Helldivers 2 and creating new games
The developer of the popular co-operative shooter Helldivers 2 has announced a reshuffle in the studio's management.
Here's What We Know
Arrowhead Game Studios co-founder and co-CEO Johan Pilestedt has announced that he has decided to step down as head of the company and focus on creative work, in particular on Helldivers 2 development and future game development.
I've been thinking about the journey ahead for Arrowhead, the future games we're going to create, and how to manage the organisation of about 120 developers we have at the moment. I realised that running a company of over 100 people meant that I would have to choose between deepening my love of making games or growing the business.
Shams Jorjani has been appointed as the new head of Arrowhead, having previously served as the studio's CEO, and before that spent 12 years at publisher Paradox Interactive.
Shams Jorjani emphasised that he will only be a manager, while Johan Pilestedt will remain the face of the studio.
