At AMC Theatres, one of the largest cinema chains in the world, 200,000 people have already booked tickets for Deadpool and Wolverine - the best showing for an R-rated film in history
One of the most anticipated films of the summer is Deadpool and Wolverine. After many years of waiting, we will once again see one of the most comical superheroes on the screen - Deadpool. He will be joined by Hugh Jackman, who is a very popular character with the audience. And although the premiere will take place on 26 July, people are already booking tickets in droves.
Here's What We Know
Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Theaters, one of the largest cinema chains in the world, said that on the first day of pre-sale, Deadpool and The Wolverine exceeded the performance of any other R-rated film in history.
About 200,000 viewers have already booked their seats for the film. This puts it above other high-grossing R-rated projects such as The Joker, Oppenheimer, or previous Deadpool films
THR estimates that, based on 200,000 viewers, Deadpool and Wolverine has already earned around $8-9 million.
Now it becomes interesting whether the film will be able to collect a billion dollars given the hype.
