A glimpse into the future: Sony showed what gamepads, smartphones, VR headsets, 3D cinema and gaming technology could look like in ten years' time
The Sony Corporate Meeting event was held, where the Japanese giant talked about its progress.
Unfortunately for gamers, Sony didn't unveil any new trailers, make any announcements or reveal its future plans for video game releases.
Before the event, there were rumours that the company would announce its games on Xbox and Nintendo consoles, as well as unveil the PlayStation 5 Pro, but none of these were confirmed.
But something very interesting was shown.
Here's What We Know
Sony unveiled a video about its vision of the future. The company showed how it thinks the digital entertainment industry should look like in ten years.
The video shows impressive concepts of VR-glasses, which will allow you to transfer any drawn picture (even on paper) in full 3D and use the model to create some content.
Sony believes that only 10 years will pass and there will be a merger of virtual space with reality and the boundaries between them will be erased.
The video showed not only interesting designs of gamepads, handheld consoles and fully transparent smartphones, but also demonstrated the development of meta-universes and 3D cinemas, where the action is not on the screen, and the audience is in the centre of the events.
Probably, not all ideas will be realised, but the video emphasises that all breakthrough ideas start with a dream, which many people think is impossible.
