Here's What We Know
The information was shared by Politico, citing the words of the representative of the US Air National Guard Erin Hannigan. The pilots were trained at the 162nd Air National Guard Base in Tucson, Arizona. For security reasons, Hannigan did not specify the number of graduates or the exact date of graduation. It is only known that the pilots have now travelled to Europe for additional training.
By the way, Ukraine is to receive more than 60 F-16 aircraft. They will be handed over by Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium. The first deliveries of aircraft will begin in early summer.
Flashback
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a fourth-generation multirole fighter developed by the American company General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin). The aircraft first took to the air in 1974 and has since become one of the most common and successful fighters in the world. The F-16 is highly manoeuvrable. It can reach speeds of over 2,000 km/h and perform a wide range of combat missions, including aerial combat, ground strikes and reconnaissance. The aircraft is equipped with modern radars, fire control systems and can carry a variety of weapons: air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, bombs and guided bombs. The F-16 is in service with more than 25 countries.
