Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Remake
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Remake is available now on Nintendo Switch for $59.99. This remake of the classic 2004 GameCube game features improved graphics (30 frames per second) and several new quality-of-life improvements, while retaining the original story and combat mechanics.
Here's What We Know
The game tells the story of Mario, who explores the surroundings of Rogueport, a once flourishing city that now lies in ruins. Mario's mission is to find an ancient treasure hidden behind the Millennium Door by collecting seven Crystal Stars.
The new features of the remake include an icon that allows players to switch to the original soundtrack, as well as the ability to instantly swap party members during battle.
Players can also practice timing their blocking and attacks in the new battle arena by talking to the Martial Arts Frog. In addition, Ian Fumus from the Problem Centre will offer hints for side quests in exchange for coins.
