The new software update for the Galaxy S22 series is now available in the US, but only for factory unlocked models. It comes with firmware version S90xU1UES5EXE2 and has a relatively small download size. The new firmware includes a security patch dated May 2024 that fixes 45 security vulnerabilities.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy S22 series in early 2022, with Android 12 on board. The smartphones in the series were updated to Android 13 later that year and to Android 14 in late 2023. The S22 lineup is expected to get an update to Android 15 in late 2024.
