A new security patch for the flagship Galaxy S20 range is already starting to appear in Europe
Samsung's flagship 2020 Galaxy S20 lineup, the Galaxy S20, still continues to receive regular security updates and a new, May security patch is already available for these models as well.
Here's What We Know
Switzerland was the first country to receive the new software for the Galaxy S20 series and it will soon roll out more globally. The update includes a fix for system vulnerabilities from May 2024. It's important to note that the new firmware is only available for the flagship S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra models for now. For the Fan Edition model, the update is currently not out yet.
The May 2024 security patch includes fixes for 45 system vulnerabilities found in existing software. Google has provided 33 vulnerability patches that all Android devices receive. The remaining 12 patches affect Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets exclusively.
If you're not seeing automatic notification of new software, you can check for it by going to Settings " Software Update " Download and Install.
