Rumour: Huawei Watch 5 will run on the new HarmonyOS NEXT operating system
According to recent reports, Huawei is planning to launch a new Watch 5 series of smartwatches along with the Mate 70 smartphone later this year. This is reported by Chinese insider Fixed Focus Digital.

According to the leak, the new watch will get a redesigned design compared to the previous model, as well as updated software. The Watch 5 Series is expected to run on the new HarmonyOS NEXT system, which is scheduled for release on 21 June.
So far, there is no exact information about the features and capabilities that the new operating system will provide. Recall that the predecessor, the Watch 4 Series, attracted attention as the world's first smart watch with non-invasive blood sugar monitoring. They featured a 1.5-inch LTPO sapphire display in a titanium case and offered different watch faces for personalisation.
