Games from Polish studio CD Projekt Red are released at long intervals, but that could change in the future.

Here's What We Know

After the presentation of the financial report, CEO Michał Nowakowski held the traditional investor talk, where he answered a number of questions.

One of them concerned whether the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher could increase the pace of release of the games to make them come out more often. The company executive replied that it is possible. Nowakowski noted that the studio has experience of working on several projects at the same time and reminded that in parallel with the development of Phantom Liberty add-on for Cyberpunk 2077, the scale of which is equal to a full game, was working on the next part of The Witcher with the codename Polaris.

According to Nowakowski, this experience turned out to be successful and showed that CD Projekt can develop several big-budget games at the same time:

Cyberpunk sequel is being made in Boston, Polaris is being developed mainly in Europe and obviously we have other projects, like The Witcher: Sirius in the same Boston with the support of The Molasses Flood.

And there's also a remake of The Witcher! So you can expect more frequent releases from us. But I won't reveal the wait times between projects, for obvious reasons.

Well, we hope that the games from the Polish studio will indeed be released more often, if only not at the expense of quality. It should be noted that CD Projekt's refusal from its own engine and transition to Unreal Engine 5 will help to speed up the workflow considerably.
