Media: Ukrainian intelligence using Magura V5 maritime drones hit two Russian boats KS-701 "Tuna" (updated)

On 29-30 May, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine carried out another special operation near the coast of occupied Crimea.

The information was shared by a source of our colleagues from Ukrayinska Pravda. Intelligence with the help of Magura V5 drones attacked two Russian boats KS-701 "Tuna" near the village of Chernomorskoye in the Yevpatoria district. The enemy tried to destroy the Ukrainian drones using aviation and artillery, but all to no avail.

MAGURA (Maritime Autonomous Guard Unmanned Robotic Apparatus) is a multi-purpose surface unmanned craft created by the Ukrainian company "SpetsTekhnoExport" by order of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's GUR and with the assistance of the United24 platform. MAGURA V5 is 5.5 metres long, 1.5 metres wide and can carry up to 320kg of payload. The marine drone has a cruising speed of almost 40 km/h and a maximum speed of more than 75 km/h. Its range exceeds 800 kilometres. In addition to combat missions, it can patrol territories, be used in search and rescue operations, provide fleet security, and perform reconnaissance and surveillance. MAGURA V5 was first unveiled in Turkey at the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2023).
