Amazon Games will be the publisher of the ambitious story-driven racing game from Maverick Games, the studio founded by the creators of the Forza Horizon series

The Amazon Games division continues to expand and enter into co-operation agreements with various developers.

Thus, it is already known that the company will partially finance and act as a publisher of the next game in the Tomb Raider franchise (and produce a TV series), as well as open an office in Bucharest to work on big-budget games.

We've already reported that the creators of Forza Horizon racing game series have started their own studio Maverick Games and are working on a AAA project. As it turned out, Amazon Corporation will help in the release and marketing support of the unannounced game.

Maverick Games and Amazon are working together on an ambitious racing game that looks a lot like Forza Horizon.

The developers are not yet revealing details of the project, but specify that it will be a racing game with an emphasis on story and narrative, something that has been very lacking in previous games by Mike Brown - the head of Maverick Games and former lead game designer at Playground Games studio - the creator of Forza Horizon.

The new race has been in development since 2023. It is planned that it will be a premium game with a large open world for PC and consoles.

When its release will take place is unknown.
