Aspredicted by an insider, at the State of Play show Sony and Team Asobi studio announced a colourful action-platformer Astro Bot - a sequel to the out-of-the-box Astro's Playroom game, which came pre-installed on every PS5 console and introduced users to its features.

Here's What We Know

In Astro Bot, the developers have somewhat moved away from the "inner world of the PS5" and will offer gamers a journey through an entire universe. The cute robot Astro will visit 50 unique planets, where he is waiting not only for exciting adventures and encounters with big enemies, but also meetings with stylised characters from other Sony games, for example, with Kratos from God of War.

Players can expect 6 galaxies, 80 levels, more than 15 new abilities for unique play styles, unusual and extremely colourful location design, as well as a relaxed atmosphere and light humour.

It's funny that Astro will be travelling around the planets on a DualSense flying gamepad, and he uses PS5 for flying in open space.

When We Can Expect It

Astro Bot will release on 6 September only on PlayStation 5, and is available for pre-order from 6 June.
