Silent Hill 2 Remake's extensive gameplay trailer showed the game in its best light and encouraged those waiting for the updated horror game
Konami's Silent Hill Transmission show took place right after the State of Play show, which unveiled a short Silent Hill 2 Remake trailer, and it proved to be much more interesting for those waiting for the release of the updated horror game.
Here's What We Know
The audience was presented with a 13-minute gameplay trailer of Silent Hill 2 Remake, which shows the main character James Sunderland walking through the gloomy streets of the city, shrouded in thick fog, finding the famous radio receiver, from which there is interference when monsters approach, entering the famous hospital, exploring its gloomy and lifeless corridors and encountering creepy monsters there. In the background of the footage, James explains that he came to town because his wife asked him to in a letter, but ... she died three years ago and the protagonist is trying to figure out who sent him the letter.
It is impossible not to mention that this trailer looks much better not only than that "famous" trailer shown at the State of Play in February, but also the one shown just an hour earlier at Sony's show.
Many gamers in the comments under the video noted that if the game will be exactly like the Silent Hill Transmission shown - it will be a worthy remake of the cult horror.
The developers from Bloober Team also talked about their vision of the remake and what kind of result they want to achieve.
When We Can Expect It
Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released on the 8th of October. An unexpected surprise was the announcement that the game will be released simultaneously on PS5 and PC, although earlier it was announced that it will be a temporary exclusive for the Japanese console.
Pre-order is already open.
