Samsung says Galaxy Ai may become a paid service
Samsung continues to expand its artificial intelligence capabilities for its Galaxy devices, but in a new announcement, the company hints that some Galaxy AI features may become paid in the future.
Here's What We Know
Samsung has announced additional AI features for Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Watch. These new features, which will be available with the upcoming One UI 6 Watch update, are mainly aimed at improving the health of users.
However, in a footnote to this announcement, Samsung reiterates that some Galaxy AI features may become paid in the future. The company claims that these features will be available for free until the end of 2025, but a paid subscription may be introduced after that date.
It is noted that the availability of these Galaxy AI features will depend on the device model. At the same time, Samsung does not provide specific information on which features may become paid.
One of the main questions among users is whether the new Galaxy AI features will work on the Galaxy Watch without connecting to a Samsung smartphone. Some previous Galaxy Watch health features were not available to users using non-Samsung smartphones.
Samsung will release a beta version of One UI 6 Watch with these new features available for testing in June. This may determine which features will be available for free and which may require a paid subscription in the future.
