Google introduces "Pixel VPN by Google" instead of Google One for Pixel owners
Google has announced that it will stop using the Google One name for its VPN and will switch to a new name, Pixel VPN by Google, before a new update. The Google One VPN will be discontinued next month, and Pixel owners will continue to receive a virtual private network under the new name.
Here's What We Know
The new version of VPN will be integrated directly into the settings of the Pixel 8, 8 Pro and 8a and instead of using Google One, it will be displayed only as a "key" icon in the status bar on the right. Additionally, Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a, and Fold owners will also receive this feature soon.
This new version of Google One VPN will be optimised for the best performance on the Pixel and has full integration in your phone's settings. The new icon has been replaced with a blue shield with a G in the centre and the screenshots have been updated with the new branding.
