Huawei's Mate 70 line of smartphones could get powerful AI capabilities on par with Apple's iPhone 16
Huawei this spring introduced a new line of flagship smartphones Pure 70 and is now preparing to present this autumn the second series of new flagships Huawei Mate 70. There is no official information about these models yet, but the first rumours and leaks have already started to appear.
Here's What We Know
According to insider Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the Mate 70's camera design will retain the round shape characteristic of previous Mate models. While retaining the signature round camera design that has been a hallmark of the Mate series since the 30th model, Huawei is promising artificial intelligence innovations.
The Mate 70 series, according to an insider, will be equipped with advanced AI features such as AI imaging and AI Life. This will be a direct response to the artificial intelligence features that Apple is rumoured to introduce in iOS 18 and its iPhone 16.
The Huawei Mate 70 is expected to hit the market with a new OmniVision sensor and Super Core Kirin chip that performs well in benchmarks. In addition, the Mate 70 series will get the latest HarmonyOS NEXT operating system, completely abandoning support for Android apps. This decision emphasises Huawei's independence from the usual market standards and confirms the company's commitment to innovation.
