Sightful has unveiled an unusual laptop called the Spacetop G1. It calls it an augmented reality laptop as it has no display.

Details

The device externally resembles the bottom part of a regular laptop with a keyboard and touchpad, which is complemented by a stand. But instead of the second part, where the screen is usually located - a void. For full-fledged work you need AR-glasses from Xreal, which are capable of projecting a 100-inch virtual display.

The Spacetop G1 also gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon QCS8550 processor, which is usually found in mobile devices, 16GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, two USB-C ports, up to 8 hours of battery life and support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, SIM cards and 5G. There's also a 5-megapixel camera for video calling.

The laptop runs on a proprietary operating system that allows for AR capabilities.

As for the glasses, they feature a pair of OLED displays with 1920×1080 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and 50-degree field of view, a 6W speaker system and microphones.

The price of Spacetop G1 starts at $1900. The novelty can already be booked on the official website, but official sales will start later this year.
