From grand failure to great success: Fallout 76's audience has surpassed 20 million since release
Fallout 76's release in 2018 is remembered as one of the biggest failures in the history of the gaming industry. Not only did the online-RPG failed to live up to the developers' immodest promises, but it was absolutely boring, empty and technically outdated.
But Bethesda regularly released a lot of updates and expansions and over time Fallout 76 became much better and more interesting, which contributed to its popularity.

Bethesda reported that the number of players in Fallout 76 has exceeded 20 million people. The American developer thanked gamers for their interest in the game and promised to further develop the post-apocalyptic MMO-shooter.
The public was presented a special art, stylised as the first two parts of the series, which depicts the locations and characters of Fallout 76:
Since Fallout 76 had 17 million players in December 2023, we can conclude that the series from Amazon, which was released in April, has indeed attracted a huge number of new players to the once-failed game.
