Amazon Fire TV devices get updated search based on artificial intelligence
Amazon has introduced an innovation for users of its Fire TV devices - search based on artificial intelligence. Fire TV owners can now search for films and TV shows using natural language, making the search process more intuitive and convenient.
Here's What We Know
The feature allows you to set free-form queries, such as asking Alexa to find films and TV shows by genre, plot, characters, or even quotes. Search results will include options from all available streaming platforms, not just Prime Video, providing a wider selection of content.
Amazon's innovation provides personalised recommendations that are tailored to each user's preferences. This means that each request will generate a unique set of suggestions that match the viewer's interests.
For now, the new feature is available in the US in English for devices running on Fire OS 6 and above. Other languages besides English will reportedly be available at a later date. The company has not disclosed when or if the feature will be available outside the US.
