ASUS ROG Ally X is a portable gaming console with a powerful battery and improved memory, priced from $799
ASUS has announced a new gaming console in the ROG Ally series. The company has added the ROG Ally X console to the models that appeared last year.
Here's What We Know
According to the manufacturer, the new gaming console is designed with user feedback in mind. It retains the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, but the device is now equipped with 24GB of dual-channel LPDDR5X-7500 RAM instead of 16GB of LPDDR5-6400.
SSD capacity in the top-end modification has doubled and is now 1TB instead of 512GB. Also ASUS ROG Ally X received a new motherboard with support for M.2 2280 form factor.
Another innovation is the doubling of the battery capacity. The console is equipped with an 80Wh battery, but the weight of the whole device has increased by only 70g in comparison with the original model. The developers also installed more durable joysticks and two USB-C connectors instead of XG Mobile.
Price & When We Can Expect It
ASUS ROG Ally X will go on sale at a price starting at $799. You will be able to buy the new gaming console next month.
