Nvidia and AMD integrate Microsoft's AI Copilot+ into gaming laptops
Nvidia and AMD have announced the imminent release of gaming laptops with Microsoft's integrated AI Copilot+ features. The announcement comes after Microsoft announced its plans to bring Copilot+ to Qualcomm-powered laptops.

At Computex, Nvidia hinted that we will soon see new laptop models from Asus and MSI that will be equipped with these advanced features. The new products will be powered by GeForce RTX 4070 GPUs and promise to bring energy efficient solutions with Windows 11 AI PC support. It is reported that these laptops will come with the latest AMD Strix processors.
AMD is keeping information about its new Strix processors under wraps for now, but details are expected to be revealed soon. Meanwhile, Nvidia is emphasising its readiness to fight for AI leadership in the notebook market, focusing on its GPUs that can handle more complex AI tasks than NPUs.
Nvidia also announced the launch of the RTX AI Toolkit, which includes tools and SDKs to configure, optimise and deploy AI models. This will allow developers to optimise models, such as Meta's Llama 2, to run with lower video memory requirements and improved performance.
This collaboration promises to be interesting, especially since Microsoft controls key aspects of the Windows implementation of these technologies for Nvidia, AMD, Intel, Qualcomm and many other OEM partners.
