Adventure action game Everwild is still in development - rumours

Microsoft has several long-announced games from first-party developers about which little is known, but none of them disappointed as much as Everwild.

The updates announced in 2019 were scarce, and reports indicate a turbulent development process with unclear internal direction. Despite the difficulties, Rare is still actively working on Everwild

Journalist Jez Corden recently stated on the Xbox Two podcast that while the game is unlikely to appear at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase, it remains in development. Corden describes Everwild as a co-operative multiplayer game, although details are unclear.

Last year, it was reported that the game, which was originally a survival game, had been rebooted to include elements from the Xbox 360 game Viva Pinata. In 2021, it was reported that Everwild has been in development for five years. Approaching its almost ten-year anniversary, it's surprising how little is known about the game.
