Eternal gaming industry long-delayed project Star Citizen has raised an impressive $700 million in crowdfunding

The Star Citizen saga continues to get more and more unique. The ambitious space MMO from Cloud Imperium Games has been in development for almost 15 years and still has no release date. Nevertheless, it continues to collect significant crowdfunding, reaching impressive amounts.

According to the developer's official website, Star Citizen crowdfunding has already exceeded $700 million. At the time of writing, the game has raised $705,327,743.

It remains unclear when Star Citizen will be released. The game, which began development in 2010, still has no set launch date. Earlier this year, Cloud Imperium Games announced that after the release of Alpha 4.0, the next goal would be a full global launch of the game. However, no timeframe was provided for this stage.
