Developers from indie studio Reissad have revealed the release date for an early version of ultra-realistic shooter Bodycam.

Here's What We Know

The game, stylised as a chronicle from the body cam of a special forces fighter, will be released in Steam Early Access on June 7, 2024.

In the special trailer the developers not only revealed the release date of the game, but also showed impressive gameplay footage, which is really hard to distinguish from the real shooting. This effect was achieved thanks to the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5, which can generate photorealistic images if used correctly.

Bodycam is a multiplayer game and in the early version will be available three modes: classic Deathmatch (for 10 players), Team Deathmatch (5 on 5) and Body Bomb (5 on 5).

Reissad Studios promises that more game modes and interesting features will be added to Bodycam over time. The shooter will be in Early Access for 6 to 12 months.

Flashback

Bodycam in many ways repeats the concept of another project - Unrecord, which in 2023 caused a lot of discussion, amazed with its realism and left a lot of questions. Unlike the story-driven single-player game Unrecord, Bodycam is more of an online shooter, but with an unusual concept that may well change the long-standing foundations of the genre.
