Blackview has unveiled a new smartphone, the Oscal Pilot 2, designed for use in harsh environments. This rugged device not only withstands submersion under water and drops, but is also capable of operating in a wide range of temperatures.
Here's What We Know
The Oscal Pilot 2 features dual screens: a main 6.5-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080 x 2400 resolution, and an additional round 1.3-inch display on the back, which is handy for notifications. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. This chipset provides enough power for the smartphone, although it does not support 5G. The RAM configuration is 8GB and the inbuilt memory is 256GB, expandable via memory card.
The smartphone has an 8,800 mAh battery that can be charged with up to 45W charging. The primary camera has a 50MP resolution with a Samsung Isocell GN5 sensor, while an ultra-wide-angle camera adds to the functionality. The LED torch has a brightness of 170 lumens and a range of 18 metres.
The Pilot 2 smartphone weighs 368 grams, is 17mm thick, and can withstand submersion under water and a 1.2 metre drop. It is also capable of operating in a wide range of temperatures, from -20ºC to 60ºC.
The Blackview Oscal Pilot 2 smartphone is available in three colour variants: orange, black and green and is priced at $279.99.
