Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the debut trailer for the upcoming film Venom: The Last Dance. This will be the final film in a trilogy about an anti-hero from the Marvel universe, with Tom Hardy playing journalist Eddie Brock, a man who teams up with an alien symbiote and transforms into Venom.

Tom Hardy, who not only played the lead role, but also actively participated in the script for both "Last Dance" and the previous film "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", demonstrated his talent and skill. The actor's partner in the franchise script, Kelly Marcel, will take the director's chair for the first time, adding new facets to an already familiar story.

The Venom franchise has been a real eye-opener for Sony, a film company looking to expand the universe of films based on the Spider-Man characters. Previous films in the series have performed impressively at the global box office despite the pandemic and a general decline in interest in superhero blockbusters.

Venom: The Last Dance will premiere on 25 October.
