Trump wanted to ban TikTok, but now he's made a personal account there and amassed 3.5 million followers over the weekend
If you can't win, lead. Apparently, this is the principle that guided Donald Trump, who now has a personal account in TikTok.
Here's What We Know
Naturally, creating a TikTok account is part of the election race. But it is quite ironic, as it was the 45th President of the United States who wanted to ban the Chinese social network for being a threat to national security
Donald Trump created the account on 1 June 2024. Over the weekend, the number of followers grew to 3.5 million. At the time of writing, almost 4 million users are subscribed to the account of the US presidential candidate.
So far, Donald Trump has published only one video. It is signed as "Launching my TikTok at @UFC 302" and has already collected more than 65 million views.
