Samsung has revealed details of a new security update for June 2024
Samsung has announced a new security update for its Galaxy devices that aims to address a number of vulnerabilities. In the latest security patch for June this year, the company has fixed 53 security issues that were found in previous versions of the software.
Here's What We Know
This update includes 40 fixes from Google and 13 from Samsung itself. Among them, 37 fixes have a "High" priority status, and one fix has already been included in the company's May security patch. It is noted that the two fixes from Google do not affect Galaxy devices.
The update also includes 13 Galaxy device-specific fixes, one of which is categorised as "Critical" and four of which are categorised as "High" priority. Samsung's security bulletin also mentions eight "Moderate" security fixes.
The rollout of the new security update will begin in the coming days and will primarily affect flagship Galaxy smartphones. The rollout of the update will be done in a phased manner, prioritising regions and high-end devices, while mid-range and entry-level devices will receive it later.
