The Ukrainian Armed Forces have received a new batch of Gepard anti-aircraft tanks. They were bought by the USA from Jordan.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by our colleagues from Militarnyi. The photo of the Jordanian installation was published by the Ukrainian Air Force. Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft units, which were purchased by the U.S. from Jordan have a modernised fire control system and a modern radar system. It is not yet known how many Jordanian Gepards Ukraine has received, but earlier we wrote that the U.S. bought 60 of them.

Flashback

Gepard is a German anti-aircraft self-propelled launcher. It is designed to cover ground forces, to destroy air targets at sloping ranges from 100 m to 4 km and at altitudes up to 3 km, flying at speeds up to 350-400 m/s, as well as ground and surface targets at ranges up to 4500 metres. The launcher is built on the chassis of the Leopard tank.
