Production of the Panzerhaubitze 2000 has started again in Germany.

Production of howitzers has started in the city of Kassel. The German Army is the customer for the systems. The first deliveries of the new Panzerhaubitze 2000 are scheduled for 2025. By the way, this is the fourth time the Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzer has returned to production.

The Panzerhaubitze 2000 (PzH 2000) is a modern German-made self-propelled howitzer developed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The artillery system has high mobility and firepower, equipped with a 155 mm gun capable of firing up to 40 kilometres with standard shells and up to 60 kilometres with active-rocket shells. The PzH 2000 is equipped with an automatic loading system that can fire up to 10 rounds per minute. The fire control system is integrated with advanced navigation and communications to ensure high accuracy and effective firing. Hull armour plating protects the crew from shrapnel and small arms fire. Panzerhaubitze 2000 is in service with a number of NATO countries and is actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the war against the Russian occupants.
