The Find My Device app will now allow you to track your child's smartphone
Google has introduced a new feature in its Find My Device app that allows parents to track the location of their children's phones. Previously, this feature was only available through the Family Link app, but now it's integrated directly into the Find My Device app.
Here's What We Know
The new feature was discovered by experts from Android Authority. In the new version of the app (v3.1.078-1), a "Family Devices" tab has appeared, which displays all the devices used by children in the family. For the feature to work, the Google account used to set up the child's device must be linked to the parent's Family Link account.
In addition, the app has undergone internal changes that support location trackers for objects with ultra-wideband connectivity. This expands the app's functionality and makes it a more versatile tool for tracking not only phones but other devices as well.
