Samsung to improve Instant Slo-Mo feature for Galaxy S24 series with HDR10+ support
Samsung will enhance the Galaxy S24's Instant Slo-Mo feature with HDR10+ support. The company has introduced Instant Slo-Mo for Galaxy S24 as one of its many generative AI features. It allows you to instantly slow down any video that the user is watching from the gallery by pressing and holding it.
Here's What We Know
This option now supports HDR10+. Instant Slo-Mo works by using generative artificial intelligence to create new frames in a video, which are then inserted between the actual frames. The result is an artificially enhanced video with a slow-motion effect.
Currently, users cannot apply this feature to HDR10+ video without losing the dynamic range of the video when trying to save it as SDR. However, this issue will be resolved with an upcoming software update.
The official moderator of Samsung 's Korean community forum confirmed that developers are working on adding HDR10+ support. He also adds that support will come with the next software update.
Samsung also announced that the Instant Slo-Mo feature will be available in the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Fold 5, Galaxy Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9.
