Nightdive Studios has announced The Thing: Remastered, announced support for 4K at 120 FPS
During the Summer Game Show, developer Nightdive Studios announced the remaster of the original third-person horror shooter The Thing - it will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
Here's What We Know
The Thing: Remastered will be based on the same 2002 game, but with improvements that will allow the KEX Engine to run on modern platforms, which also means support for up to 4K resolution and 120 frames per second. Of course, character models, textures, animations, lighting, etc. will also be improved.
The game itself is based on the 1982 film The Thing, where events unfold in the frozen Antarctic tundra. Players take on the role of Captain J.F. Blake, who investigates the events that took place in the film.
