Japanese setting has reached The Finals: the developers of the online shooter presented the features of the third season, which will feature a map of Kyoto of the XVI century
Embark studio and publisher Nexon revealed the first details of the third season of The Finals network shooter, which, as the developers hope, will bring back interest in the game.
Here's What We Know
The new season will start on the 13th of June and will be dedicated to the Japanese theme.
The game will feature a map of Kyoto in 1568, as well as traditional weapons of samurai of XVI century: bows, spears and katanas, with which players can even fight off bullets.
Season 3 will feature Terminal Attack, a new ranked mode with 5v5 battles in which one team attacks and must deliver a decryption key to one of two terminals while their opponent prevents them from doing so. The mode will offer a "more tactical and competitive" style of play, and the winner is determined at the end of 13 rounds, which will feature no healing or revival.
So far, all maps in The Finals have featured cities of the present day or the not-too-distant future, but season three will introduce a Kyoto of low-build houses, temples, gardens and bamboo forests - any object can be razed to the ground.
The third season of The Finals will begin simultaneously on all platforms.
