HMD Global will re-release the iconic Nokia Lumia 920 phone as HMD Skyline
HMD Global, the company that now makes Nokia phones, continues to delight fans of the brand by taking inspiration from the classics of the past. Not so long ago, they revived the legendary Nokia 3210 with modern features and now the company is preparing to release a new model.
Here's What We Know
The new smartphone will be called Skyline and its first images have already appeared. The design of the device is reminiscent of the Fabula style, which was first introduced in the Nokia N9 model. However, the bright yellow colour of the body evokes associations with the iconic Nokia Lumia 920.
The Skyline promises to combine classic style with modern technology. According to the latest reports, the smartphone will feature an OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset is responsible for the performance.
The camera unit is a 108 MP main sensor, a wide-angle lens and a macro or depth sensor. For selfies there is a 32-megapixel front camera. The battery in the novelty is 4900 mAh and supports 33W fast charging. It is also reported to be protected against dust and water by IP67 standard. Among other features - fingerprint scanner under the screen and stereo speakers. The device will run on the latest version of Android 14 operating system.
The Skyline model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage is expected to cost around 520 euros. It is scheduled to premiere in July.
