More questions than answers: the new Fable reboot trailer once again failed to show gameplay, gave a vague release date and upset the public
At the Xbox Games Showcase studio Playground Games presented another trailer of Fable role-playing game, which received mixed reactions from the audience.
Here's What We Know
The video again did not show any gameplay footage, but only a few cinematic scenes. The video is structured in such a way that the character Humphry goes behind the scenes to reveal that he once knew the protagonist and heard a lot about her exploits.
Since Humphry is a story character and dialogue with him, apparently, is mandatory to pass Fable, gamers concluded that the game will not have not only a full-fledged character editor, but even the ability to choose the gender of the protagonist. Although for the sake of fairness it should be noted that many role-playing games record two versions of the same dialogues for male and female protagonist, and the fact that the trailer showed a girl, does not mean that the game will not be able to play as a man.
When We Can Expect It
Finally, the developers have announced the approximate release date of the game: Fable is expected to be released in 2025 on PC and Xbox Series. The game will immediately get into the Game Pass catalogue.
