ChatGPT will become free on iOS 18 in 2024

During WWDC 2024, Apple announced that users of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia will be able to use ChatGPT for free later this year.

Apple has decided to provide its customers with the opportunity to use the ChatGPT 4o model from OpenAI. This partnership will allow users to ask Siri questions or use writing tools with ChatGPT integration.

Users will have access to a free version of ChatGPT, with no personal data stored and no queries logged, ensuring privacy. Besides, for more specific options, owners will be able to connect their premium account.

Apple also hinted at the possibility of integrating other artificial intelligence models, such as Google Gemini, in the future.

Beta versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia are already available for developers, but ChatGPT integration will appear only after the official release of the operating systems in autumn 2024.
