iPadOS 18 gets Math Notes, your own handwriting and an updated Calculator app that solves complex equations

Apple has announced the release of iPadOS 18, which will bring significant updates for iPad users.

Here's What We Know

One of the key innovations is the Calculator app, which takes advantage of the Apple Pencil and Math Notes feature. This calculator can solve mathematical expressions instantly when written with an equal sign.

In addition, iPadOS 18 allows users to edit text in Notes, including spell checking and expanding sections for a better view of notes. It also has new home screen personalisation features, as well as improved control centre management.

The Freeform app now supports Scenes, which improves performance and allows you to view documents faster. Also, the app's new photo design makes it easier to search for images with new filters.

These changes are expected in autumn 2024, but are already available for testing in beta.
