Samsung has released an update for Galaxy Tab S7
The May 2024 security update for Galaxy Tab S7 is now available in Europe.
Here's What We Know
The update comes with firmware version T875XXS7DXE6 and has a relatively smaller download size. The new software can now be downloaded to Galaxy Tab S7 (SM-T875) in the following countries:
- Austria
- Caucasus countries
- Kazakhstan
- Uzbekistan
- Slovenia
- Greece
- Bulgaria
- Spain
- United Kingdom
- Poland
- Hungary
- Portugal
- Baltic
- Ukraine
- Slovakia
- Switzerland
- Germany
- Luxembourg
- France
- Romania
- South East Europe
- Netherlands
- Nordic countries
- Czech Republic
- Italy.
The new patch includes a security fix dated May 2024 that addresses 45 vulnerabilities found in previous versions of the software. Google and Samsung have worked together to address these vulnerabilities, so the Galaxy Tab S7 should now be more secure against attackers.
Galaxy Tab S7 will not be updated to Android 14 and One UI 6.1. If you want to use the latest version of Android and One UI, you need to upgrade your Galaxy Tab S7 to Galaxy Tab S9.
How To Switch It On
To do this, go to Settings, Software update, Download and install. You can download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. For this method to work, you'll need access to a Windows PC and the Odin tool.
The Galaxy Tab S7 was released in 2020 with Android 10. It received the Android 11 update in late 2020, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022.
